My heart has been breaking for those that I know over there.  From what I've seen and heard the entire country is suffering or on very strict shortages.  They need help, but you know what makes the maddest?  SCAMMERS!!  Those who prey on people's love and emotions for the hurting and hungry.  I'm hoping that the Japanese get the help they need and soon.  Pray for them, but also remember there are people just like them around you right now that need your help as well.  A friend who needs an ear, a child or neighbor or someone that is needing the attention just like the Japanese do.  You can "do" something for someone.  Just be open.

So I've been considering weaning Harrison for a little bit now and I've had some very contreversial conversations with people who think they know what's best for me and my family.  I've always said if my baby says their first word or draws first blood I'm done.  I don't like to flick them in the mouth or yell at my little bitty baby who doesn't know any better.  So to eradicate the problem I just slowly wean them to formula.  I was considering and discussed it with Nate and he said it was whatever I thought and he didn't care.  That's what I love about him, total support; basically doing it my way!!!  So Nate proceeds to tell someone that will remain anonymous and they decide to weigh in and give their input.  Asking Nate why, is she ok?  He told her I was fine but that I felt it was time.  Then telling him that it's better for the baby to feed them until their 1, like I didn't know that, and it was cheaper, again had no idea.  So to all of you who care or even read this blog, which I doubt there are any, I don't care what you think.  This is my decision and basically I have come on-line to voice my frustration and so I'm not yelling at you I'm just absolutely sick of the people who feel like they have a say and I"m going to listen.  Wow I didn't know I felt so violently.   I hope you'll forgive this post but it's just what I've been feeling lately!!

potty-train me please

So I hate that, "you potty-train the mommy before the baby" crap.  It drives me insane.  Partly because when I do ask for advice people say this to you, "every child is different".  NOT HELPFUL at all.  So I decided after 2 failed attempts with my absolutely stubborn and bull-headed 3 year old to try one more time before I let her go to kindergarten in diapers.  Friday I put her on the toliet and she went.  It was a miracle from above.  She had no accidents the rest of that day, but Saturday she had 1, Sunday she had 0 and Monday she had 1 and none since then.  I think 2011 will be a really good year.  I'm super excited about ALL the possiblities.  If you had a child who refused and you perservered and now they are trained I stand up and applaud you.  I want you to know that I cried when you did and I smell of toliet water and enjoy sitting in the bathroom now.  It's actually the warmest room in my house.

No internet.

AAArggh.  All I want is reliable internet at our house.  Oh well I'll have to use Mike and Stace's.

My boy...

has become a pincher.  Yes a little girlie, but he gets that from his father.  While he's feeding he will pinch my boobs.  It really hurts.

On a lighter note, I turned 28 on Tuesday and don't feel any different.  I thought something would happen, like magical cellulite zapping or something but better luck next year!!!

My little Princess!

Libby got to go to the Princess Tea at the Festival of Trees for her birthday.  My mom took her, so she dressed up like a princess and had a princess fashion show and she was soooo excited.  She danced with "princesses" and so obviously by the look on her face she had the time of her life.

Just some old times...

When we did Relay for Life in 2008.  Libby was like 8 months old.  It was sooo much fun and it made me think of my Aunt Terry who died that year too.  Love Aunt Terry.
