A tradition indeed.

My mom gets Libby a ticket to the Princess Tea at the Festival of Tress every year.  Now that 2 more grand girls are coming in a couple years 2 more will join as well, but It's been fun for Libby to go with grandma and dance with "princesses" and "princes".  Not to complain, but some of those princesses could dress a bit more appropriately.  I digress, she loved it and wants to do it every year.

T minus 9 days.

To what you might be thinking?

 

I know her birthday is in 4 days, she's doing that stupid thing on Facebook.

Christmas isn't for another 2 weeks.

Hannukah started on the 8th.

Even New Years is after that.

 

HMMM?

 

Oh ok, Nate is done with his job and out of Elba.

I am SOOOOO excited.  I will have my husband back and sleeping in our bed.

No more cold bed, no more sleeping by myself, no more kids asking where dad is.

Yet I look back at the last 7 months and I think, "we've grown a ton."

The kids help me sooo much.

They looooove when Nate is home.

I looove when Nate is home.

We are much closer having had to endure this.

 

All in all it was good, but I'm sure glad it's over.

For those of you out there thinking, "Well her husband isn't in the military and yardy yar..." I say to you, who cares what you think!

Until you do this you have no room to judge me.  It was hard and I don't want to do it again.

We'll probably have to, but you have no room to judge.

 

I am SOOOOO excited!

I Love...

Lots of things, but I love the holidays most of all.

I love me some turkey and most of all some pumpkin pie, homemade of course.

 

I love my family, they rock.  All of them, Nate's family and mine!

 

I really love to eat and I did at Thanksgiving.  I can't wait for Christmas, but I think I love Thanksgiving the best.  The start to the holidays.

5 Years, We Made It!

I am one of those moms where I count each birthday a blessing for my kids.

I did it!  You didn't die!  We did this together.

That kind of thing.

 

My girl turned 5 on Monday, but we had a party on Saturday for her.

She is the best, funny, tons of energy, kind, and oh soo sassy.

Carving Pumpkins

I have a love hate relationship with pumpkins.

I love when they're carved, I hate carving them.

But, I did it.  Haven't done it in about 3 years.

Nate is better it at it then I am, so he usually heads up this project.

Blessings

I am so truly blessed.

I have healthy kids and a awesome husband.

I have a friend, both of her kids have been premature.  Now that would be scary.  She is so postive about it, but I would freak!!

I will take my sick pregnancies and my overdue babies.

Just knowing that they are healthy and safe is the most important.

Pray for those that have troubles or who can't bear at all.  Be kind today!

 



Being

Spontaneous is one of my favorite things.  Nate and I take random trips into the mountains and have BBQs.  Sometimes with friends and family and sometimes just our little family.  Love the time that is spent in those unprepared moments of our family's life.  For example,

We went to Jackson Hole this weekend.  With Nate working like he is and me being by myself, I feel isolated and sometimes dreadfully alone.  Stuck in my patterns, but sometimes those patterns are what make me feel better.  I digress, anyway I thought it would be fun to leave on Friday and come home Sunday.  We had stake conference, so what better time?  Just kidding I love stake conference!  Anyway, here's some pictures.

This was my blessing dress.

I love this day so much.  First it's on a fast Sunday, traditionally, the spirit is radiating out of the church and then your husband takes your new baby and with other priesthood brethern you give her a blessing from Heavenly Father.  I can't describe the feelings inside, knowing this spirit made the right choice and came to earth and you have a responsiblity to take care of her, helping her make right choices, figuring out when to let her make her own, etc.  It's amazing and scary all at the same time.

About 4 weeks of stuff...

 

This is the day after we brought Amelia home from the hospital.  I think we're watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics.  I look haggard.

 

This is Nates sister's little girl, Madilynn.  She's about 5 months older than Millie.

 

Nate grew a beard and then decided to shave it like an 80's porn star.  Gross, huh?
